Traps are a feature introduced in Gemcraft Chapter 0 They can only be built on the path. When you place a gem in a trap, it does 80% less damage and gets a really short range, which only covers the square the trap is on, but its special (Critical hit, mana leech, etc.) gets 80% higher.
Strategies
- Put a Blue Gem (Cyan in Chapter 2) in a trap, and fill some traps after it with Orange Gems (Blue in Chapter 2) to get a maximum mana leech! *Even better, use Orange/Lime/Cyan! (Blue/?/? in Chapter 2)
